WHALE WATCHING has become an important sector of the TOURISM industry since 1980, when Bill and Donna Mackay and Jim Borrowman started taking out groups of watchers by boat from TELEGRAPH COVE at the north end of JOHNSTONE STRAIT not far from ROBSON BIGHT.
