Webster, Gloria (Cranmer)


WEBSTER, Gloria (Cranmer), 'Namgis (Nimpkish) curator, author (b 4 July 1931, Alert Bay). Her great-grandfather was George HUNT and her father was Dan Cranmer, both of whom worked with the anthropologist Franz BOAS. She studied anthropology at UBC, and after graduating in 1956 she worked as a counsellor at OAKALLA PRISON FARM and with the John Howard Society.
