Muchalat Inlet


MUCHALAT INLET is a long FJORD starting in NOOTKA SOUND at the north side of HESQUIAT Peninsula on the west coast of VANCOUVER ISLAND. Hwy 28 runs from the village of GOLD RIVER, near the head of the inlet, through STRATHCONA PROVINCIAL PARK across the Island, to CAMPBELL RIVER. Various NUU-CHAH-NULTH First Nations originally occupied the inlet.
