CROSBY, Thomas, Methodist missionary (b 21 June 1840, Pickering, England; d 13 Jan 1914, Vancouver). He immigrated to Canada with his parents when he was 16 and settled in Woodstock, ON. In 1858 he joined the Wesleyan Methodist Church after a revivalist meeting. He became a preacher and in 1862 responded to a request for missionaries in BC.
