Colwood


COLWOOD, city, pop 14,687 (2006), is a residential suburb of VICTORIA overlooking JUAN DE FUCA STRAIT 18 km west of the capital. It originated as one of the farms established by the PUGET'S SOUND AGRICULTURAL CO and run by Capt Edward Langford in the 1850s, and was named for Langford's home in England.
