CINEMA, a small settlement 28 km north of QUESNEL in the north CARIBOO, was named by Dr Lloyd Champlain, an early settler. There are several explanations for why he chose this name; one local history suggests it was to celebrate a journey he made to Hollywood in the 1920s.
