CAETANI, Sveva, artist (b 6 Aug 1917, Rome, Italy; d 27 Apr 1994, Vernon). She was a member of an aristocratic Italian family; her father, the Duke of Sermoneta, brought Caetani, her mother and a family assistant, Miss Jüül, to the OKANAGAN VALLEY. The duke died in 1935 when Sveva was 18 years old, and her mother required Sveva to live in seclusion with her and Miss Jüül at their VERNON home.
