Iroquois Passage


Iroquois Passage (48˚41'00" 123˚24'00" Off NE end of Saanich Peninsula, S of Goudge I, N of Victoria). The small steamship Iroquois was a frequent sight around the Gulf Is in the early 1900s and often used this channel. Built at Port Moody in 1900 and licensed for 100 passengers, the 25-m, 177-tonne vessel operated between Sidney, Nanaimo and Gulf Is ports.
