Instructor Island


Instructor Island (53˚01'00" 132˚19'00" Off N side of Inskip Channel, NW Moresby I, QCI). Rev William Cecil Percy Baylee was a popular chaplain and naval instructor aboard HMS Thetis during Capt Augustus Kuper’s 1852 survey of the area. Nearby Baylee Bay, Baylee Bluff and Percy Point are also named for him.
