Imperial Eagle Channel


Imperial Eagle Channel (48˚54'00" 125˚12'00" Barkley Sd, W side of Vancouver I). The British fur-trading ship Imperial Eagle, under Capt Charles Barkley, was the first European vessel to navigate this body of water, in 1787. The ship had formerly been owned by the E India Co and called the Loudoun.
