Wilson, Bruce


WILSON, Bruce, soccer player (b 20 June 1951, Vancouver). He started playing SOCCER in BURNABY, helping his teams win 7 provincial championships before he joined the N American Soccer League's VANCOUVER WHITECAPS in 1974. Renowned for his leadership skills, he played for the Chicago Sting 1978–80, the New York Cosmos 1980–81 (and with them won the 1980 NASL championship), the Toronto Blizzard 1981–84 and the Canadian national team for 13 years.
