Websters Corners

WEBSTERS CORNERS, 30 km east of NEW WESTMINSTER in MAPLE RIDGE district municipality, is a farming settlement (see AGRICULTURE) on the Dewdney Trunk Road. LOGGING was important in the early 1900s, and in 1905 a group of FINNS arrived from the failed utopian colony at SOINTULA. Websters Corners was named for James Webster, who first homesteaded here in 1882.
