Weatherbie, Vera

WEATHERBIE, Vera, painter (b 1909, Vancouver; d 1977, Vancouver). She was a member of the first class at the Vancouver School of Decorative and Applied Arts (see EMILY CARR INSTITUTE OF ART & DESIGN) from 1925 to 1930. After further studies at the Royal Academy in London, England, she taught from 1933 to 1935 at the BC College of Art founded by Fred VARLEY and J.W.G. MACDONALD.
