WALTERS, Dale, boxer (b 27 Sept 1963, Port Alice) His father Len, a member of the BC SPORTS HALL OF FAME, was named outstanding Canadian amateur athlete in 1951 but a broken hand blocked him from a medal at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. Dale had better luck, winning a bronze at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.
