WALLACE ISLAND, 80 ha, one of the smaller of the GULF ISLANDS, lies off the northeast tip of SALTSPRING ISLAND. It was purchased by David Conover, a California businessman and photographer, and his wife Jeanne, who settled there and developed Wallace Island Resort.
