WALKER, Michael, economist (b 11 Sept 1945, Corner Brook, NF). After graduating from Univ of Western Ontario in 1969, he worked as an economist with Bank of Canada and the federal finance department in Ottawa until 1974. That year he moved to VANCOUVER and founded a right-wing think tank, the FRASER INSTITUTE.
