Vallican

VALLICAN is a small AGRICULTURAL and LOGGING settlement on the west side of the Slocan R, 30 km north of CASTLEGAR. Many DOUKHOBOURS moved to this area. In mid-Aug the W KOOTENAY Women's Festival is held here. The name is an abbreviation for Valley of Slocan.
