TILIKUM is a 9-m CEDAR dugout CANOE that undertook an epic ocean voyage from VICTORIA to London, England, in May 1901. Crewed by 2 men—John Voss, an experienced sea captain, and Norman Luxton, a young journalist—the canoe crossed the Pacific to Fiji and Australia, continued across the Indian Ocean to the Cape of Good Hope, then cruised north up the coast of Africa to England, arriving at the Thames R in Sept 1904.
