Thrush


THRUSH is the common name for a number of birds belonging to the same family as BLUEBIRDS and KINGLETS. It includes the familiar American ROBIN (Turdus migratorius), which breeds throughout BC. The varied thrush (Ixoreus naevius), found in coniferous forests throughout BC, looks like an ornate robin with its black breastband across a bright orange breast and its orange eye stripe and wing bars.
