THOMAS, François Marie, missionary (b 1868, Brittany, France; d 1957, Williams Lake). A member of the OBLATES OF MARY IMMACULATE, he came to Canada in 1894 and 3 years later was appointed missionary to the aboriginal inhabitants of the CARIBOOCHILCOTIN region.
