PEACHLAND, district municipality, pop 4,883 (2006), adjoins the west side of OKANAGAN LK between PENTICTON and KELOWNA. It was founded in 1897 as the first of several OKANAGAN VALLEY settlement schemes proposed by John Moore ROBINSON, a promoter.
