Mount Lehman


MOUNT LEHMAN  () is a rural community on elevated ground in the lower FRASER VALLEY between LANGLEY and MATSQUI. The pioneer settler was Alben Hawkins, who took up farmland in 1874, though it is named for a later settler, Isaac Lehman. When the BC ELECTRIC RWY CO opened its INTERURBAN line to CHILLIWACK in 1910, it placed a station at Mount Lehman that became a focus for the community, which is now part of the City of ABBOTSFORD....
