Molly Gibson

MOLLY GIBSON, 28 km northeast of NELSON in what is now KOKANEE GLACIER PROVINCIAL PARK, was a MINING camp near the headwaters of KOKANEE CRK. A productive lead–ZINCSILVER mine owned by COMINCO operated here from the early 1900s until about 1915. Ore was transported to a steamship/barge landing named Kokanee on the north shore of the west arm of KOOTENAY LK.
