Kersley

KERSLEY, pop 396, 18 km south of QUESNEL and east of the FRASER R, is a farming (see AGRICULTURE) settlement on the BC RAIL line and Hwy 97. It was named after Charles Kersley, who was a merchant during the Cariboo GOLD RUSH and then pre-empted land here in 1867.
