Fair Harbour

FAIR HARBOUR is in KYUQUOT SOUND and up Tahsish Inlet, south of BROOKS PENINSULA on the west coast of VANCOUVER ISLAND. A LOGGING camp was active at the head of the harbour in the 1960s, and GOLD and iron ore have also been mined in the area (see MINING). A wharf and FOREST SERVICE campground at this site allow access into Kyuquot Sound.
