Crescent Spur


CRESCENT SPUR, 140 km east of PRINCE GEORGE on the CNR, was the site of a SAWMILL established in 1917 by Ole Olson Leboe and Helmar Johnson and later operated by Bert Leboe. The mill closed in the late 1960s and a fire consumed most of the settlement in 1971. The original GRAND TRUNK PACIFIC RWY station, located near a crescent-shaped oxbow lake formed by the FRASER R, was called Loos after the famous WWI battle.
