Contemporary Verse


CONTEMPORARY VERSE was a "little" poetry magazine founded by Alan CRAWLEY in W VANCOUVER in 1941. At the time it was one of a very few outlets for Canadian poets and Crawley published most of the best work being written. The lead poem in the first issue, "Hands," was one of the early published works by Earle BIRNEY, and was accompanied by work by P.K.
