Cobble Hill

COBBLE HILL, pop 1,753, a rural community on the ESQUIMALT & NANAIMO RWY 35 km northwest of VICTORIA on VANCOUVER ISLAND, is the site of one of BC's longest-running fall fairs, held each August. The origin of the name is uncertain; it may refer to a place in England, a visiting naval officer or the proximity of a quarry.
