Clemretta

CLEMRETTA is a small agricultural and summer resort settlement 43 km southwest of BURNS LAKE on the northwest shore of FRANÇOIS LK. It was named in 1939 by H.S. Cowan, the first postmaster, after two cows, Clementine and Henrietta. The post office had apparently rejected all his other suggestions for place names.
