Cecil Lake

CECIL LAKE, 18 km northeast of FORT ST JOHN in the PEACE R district at the south end of Cecil Lk, is a farming community and service centre for the region settled in the 1930s. Many MENNONITES settled here. The lake itself, named for Maj Cecil M. Roberts, a federal government draughtsman and surveyor, is the site of much conservation activity by Ducks Unlimited.
