Calori, Angelo


CALORI, Angelo, miner, hotelier (b 1861, Italy; d 7 May 1940, Vancouver). He arrived in BC from Italy via California in 1882 and found work in the COAL mines in NANAIMO. After moving to the mainland, he worked on the construction of the CPR. Following the 1886 fire in VANCOUVER he purchased one of the surviving buildings and went into the hotel business.
