Woods Islands


Woods Islands (49˚00'00" 123˚49'00" Ladysmith Hbr, SE of Nanaimo, SE side of Vancouver I), Woods Rock (51˚01'00" 127˚34'00" NW of Southgate I, off NW side of Queen Charlotte Str, N of Port Hardy). Named in 1904 by Cdr John Parry of the RN survey vessel Egeria, after Artificer Engineer James J Woods, who served aboard the ship that year on the BC coast.
