Wingen Islets


Wingen Islets (49˚10'00" 125˚40'00" Off SW end of McCaw Peninsula, Tofino Inlet, Clayoquot Sd, W side of Vancouver I). Named by regional hydrographer Henri Parizeau in 1934 after Thomas Wingen (1864–1931), who pre-empted land on Grice Bay in 1896 and received a Crown grant for his property in 1920.
