Willey Point

Willey Point (48˚49'00" 123˚19'00" W side of N Pender I, Gulf Is). John Willey (1859–1935), who came to Canada from England in 1886, arrived on N Pender about 1890 and farmed in this vicinity. He married Medora Ann Percival (1854–1933) at Victoria in 1903. Descendants of the Willey family were still living on N Pender in the early 2000s. The Gulf Is Branch of the BC Historical Assoc submitted this place name in 1968.
