West Vancouver


West Vancouver (49˚22'00" 123˚10'00" N side of Burrard Inlet, just NW of Vancouver). W Vancouver was incorporated as a district municipality in 1912, when the W Capilano District seceded from the municipality of N Vancouver. The name was in use before that, however, as John Lawson was operating a ferry service, called the W Vancouver Transportation Co, across Burrard Inlet as early as 1910.
