Wellbore Channel

Wellbore Channel (50˚27'00" 125˚45'00" E of Hardwicke I, between Chancellor Channel and Sunderland Channel, NW of Campbell R). After Capt John Wellbore Sunderland Spencer, who served on the RN’s Pacific Station, 1859– 63. See Spencer Ledge. This was the Canal de Nuevos Remolinos (“new whirlpools”) of Spanish explorer Dionisio Alcalá-Galiano.
