Wallis Point


Wallis Point (49˚16'00" 124˚06'00" NE entrance to Nanoose Hbr, E side of Vancouver I, NW of Nanaimo). Richard Pateman Wallis (b 1867), from England, was a farmer and landowner in this vicinity. He came out to BC in 1888, purchased the 900-ha Notch Hill ranch in 1897 and two years later married Eliza Mary Marriott (1863–1914).
