Veruna Bay


Veruna Bay (48˚49'00" 123˚12'00" NW side of Saturna I, Gulf Is). The Veruna was a small schooner owned by Harold Digby Payne (1872–1954), who had followed his older brothers Charles and Gerald out to BC in 1891 (see Digby Point and Payne Point). The Paynes were a wealthy English family whose members bought property on the Gulf Is (especially Saturna) and at Oak Bay and Sidney.
