Turret Rock


Turret Rock (51˚06'00" 127˚30'00" Nakwakto Rapids, entrance to Seymour Inlet, N of Port Hardy). While the name is simply descriptive of the islet’s shape, this famous feature deserves a fuller mention. It sits right in the mouth of the Nakwakto Rapids (qv), the fiercest tidal currents on the BC coast, and is said to actually shake and shudder from the action of the rushing waters.
