Thistle Passage


Thistle Passage (52˚38'00" 128˚45'00" E side of Hastings I, S side of Princess Royal I). The Canadian Hydrographic Service acquired the 11-m motor launch Thistle from the RCN in 1922. It saw service on the W coast until 1928, when it was destroyed by fire. Hydrographer H L Leadman arrived from Ottawa in 1923 to take charge of the vessel, along with the houseboats Somass and Fraser.
