Teece Point


Teece Point (48˚45'00" 123˚10'00" E side of S Pender I, Gulf Is). Named by the hydrographic service in 1969 for Lance Cpl Philip S Teece, of S Pender I, who was killed in action Aug 26, 1944, during the Battle of Normandy. He served with the Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) of Canada and is buried at Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian War Cemetery, S of Caen in France. Formerly known as Tantallon Point.
