Taylor Bay

Taylor Bay (49˚12'00" 123˚51'00" NW end of Gabriola I, Gulf Is). George William Taylor (1854–1912) was a British mining engineer and naturalist who moved to Victoria in 1879. He was persuaded by Bishop George Hills to study for the Anglican clergy, was ordained in 1884 and the following year married Elizabeth A Williams (1860–95), headmistress at the Girls Central School and organist at the Anglican cathedral.
