Sutton Islets


Sutton Islets (49˚46'00" 123˚56'00" In Skookumchuck Narrows, N end of Sechelt Inlet, E side of Jervis Inlet, NW of Vancouver). After Capt John Sutton of the RN, who commanded the 74-gun ship of the line Egmont at the 1797 Battle of Cape St Vincent off Portugal, in which Sir John Jervis defeated a much larger Spanish fleet.
