Strouts Point


Strouts Point (53˚48'00" 130˚14'00" N side of McCauley I, N entrance to Petrel Channel, S of Prince Rupert). Pilot Officer Frederick Stanley Strouts, DFC, a native of Winnipeg and resident of New Westminster, served in England with No 109 Squadron. He flew 31 bombing and mining sorties over Germany with de Havilland Mosquitoes before he was killed in action Mar 26, 1943, aged 26. Strouts is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial, near Windsor, England.
