Stradiotti Reef


Stradiotti Reef (49˚55'00" 124˚49'00" S of Savary I, Str of Georgia). Named by the hydrographic service in 1945 for Henry Felix Stradiotti, from Vancouver, whose body was recovered near this spot after his 19-m fish packer, the Carolina Marie, foundered in a gale on Dec 27, 1944. He was 27 years old, a former schoolteacher and graduate of UBC, where he had been a rugby star.
