Stone Point


Stone Point (51˚37'00" 127˚30'00" S side of Rivers Inlet). Named after Cpl A W Stone, a resident of the Rivers Inlet area for many years. His son Francis Stone worked as manager of the Goose Bay Cannery. This feature was formerly known as Christopher Point but was renamed by the hydrographic service in 1942. It is also known locally as Long Point.
