Steele Rock


Steele Rock (52˚28'00" 129˚22'00" SE of Conroy I, off W side of Aristazabal I, Hecate Str). Frances Steele became the wife of Alexander Johnston, deputy minister of Marine and Fisheries in the federal government, 1910–33, and a former Cape Breton newspaper publisher, MLA and MP (see Mt Johnston). Nearby Frances Rk is also named for her, while Mason Rk (qv) is named for her son.
