Spaniel Point


Spaniel Point (52˚31'00" 128˚16'00" SE entrance to Jackson Passage, Susan I, Mathieson Channel, N of Bella Bella). Named for a small dog that jumped from a Klemtu-bound fish packer in the middle of the night and was gallantly rescued by the crew of the hydrographic survey vessel Parry. Nearby Rescue Bay also takes its name from this event.
