Sorenson Point


Sorenson Point (50˚34'00" 127˚34'00" NW entrance to Quatsino Narrows, Holberg Inlet, NW Vancouver I). According to BC’s Geographical Names Office, the point was named for Valdemar Axel Sorenson, who pre-empted land at the mouth of the San Josef R in 1903 and received a Crown grant there in 1913 (his name is spelled Sorensen on the land office documents).
