Siwiti Rock


Siwiti Rock (50˚54'00" 127˚16'00" E of Robinson I, Blunden Hbr, N side of Queen Charlotte Str, NE of Port Hardy). This feature was named by Cdr John Parry of HMS Egeria in 1903 while re-surveying Blunden Hbr. Siwiti was the principal chief of the Nak’waxda’xw (Nakwakto) First Nation at that time. Their main village, Ba’as, was located at Blunden Hbr. The Nak’waxda’xw moved to Port Hardy in the early 1960s.
